Kim Miller is the Director of Programs at The Learning Partnership, a national charitable organization dedicated to championing a strong public education system in Canada through innovative programs, credible research, policy initiatives, executive leadership and public engagement. Since its inception, more than 4.5 million students and teachers have participated in one or more of TLP’s programs, including Take Our Kids to Work, Welcome to Kindergarten, Change Your Future, Entrepreneurial Adventure and I Cubed (Investigate! Invent! Innovate!)
Kim has had a long career in education after earning an Honours Degree in Physical and Health Education (U of T), and both a Bachelors (UWO) and Masters Degree in Education (U of T – OISE). Her diverse career in education began as a classroom teacher with the former Scarborough Board of Education. Her passion for innovative programming for all students flourished in roles as a school and system curriculum leader, secondary school vice principal and principal. This led to a central system position with the Toronto District School Board as Coordinating Principal – Secondary Teaching and followed with the appointment to Senior Manager, Employee Services – Secondary Teaching with the Toronto District School Board.
Throughout her career Kim has worked endlessly in building strong relationships among stakeholders – the cornerstone of common understanding and effective public education.
